We stock an impressive number of different coffees every year and we know that can get a little bit confusing if you're not a great big nerd like us! Our new coffee naming convention helps differentiate each new coffee that goes onto the website; highlighting that each time a coffee lands from a farm it's a new Edition, meaning it is a brand new and unique coffee with it's own distinctive flavour profile.
You can now find your current favourite coffee, or something new, by using it's unique Edition number - much simpler if all those processes, cultivars, screen sizes, and tablons put you in a bit of a spin!
All of the same detailed lot information is still listed on the product page but each coffee is now primarily identified by it's Edition number. This is formatted by the year of release + the overall release number.
So for example, on March 18th 2022 we launched this year's crop of Bolivia El Fuerte Washed Caturra... under the new system that coffee is now named Bolivia: Edition 22.020
- that means that it's from Bolivia, we launched it in 2022, and it's the 20th unique single origin coffee that we've released this year :)
